  • Yarn needle

  • Worth the effort - this stunning shrug will add glamour and warmth to every special occasion.

    Small size to fit size 8 – 12 or large size 14 - 18

Note: 1 tr back = Wind the yarn over the hook and then insert the hook from the back of the work to the front
on the right hand side of the next treble in the previous row. Place the hook around to the front of this treble and bring it out at the back on the left hand side. The hook should now be around the shaft of the treble of the previous row. Continue the treble pulling the first loop back around the stitch following where the hook was inserted. There will be a ridged effect on the front and a raised treble will be on the back. Make 200 (220) chain in gold.
    Rows 1 – 7: 1 dc, 2ch *miss 1 ch ,1 tr* repeat from * to * to end of row.
Row 8: Change to black/gold yarn 1 dc, 2ch *1 tr back (see NB), 1ch* repeat from * to * to end of row. Repeat this row until work measures approx 40cm. Then change to gold yarn and repeat rows 1 – 7. End off yarn.

To make up: Using the yarn needle sew in any loose thread ends.
Sew the short ends of the rectangle together but give it a single twist first. Wear with seam at centre back.
