You'll need:

Keep your little one's twinkle toes cosy with booties as cuddly as they are. Particularly gorgeous in one of our Flutter yarns with a varigated colour design - for a sweet little chick close to your heart

Using 4.5mm knitting needles and 1 strand of Flutter yarn cast on 31 (37) sts.
1st row: * K1, increase in next st, K12 (15) increase in next st , repeat from* once K1 35 (41) sts 
2nd & foll alt rows: K 
3rd row: * K1, inc in next st, K14 (17), inc in next st, rep from * once, K1. 39 (45) sts 
5th row: * K1, inc in next st, K16 (19) inc in next st, repeat from * once, .K1. 43 (49)sts.
7th row: * K1, inc in next st, K18 (21) inc in next st, repeat from * once, K1 47 (53)sts 
9th row: K2tog, K43 (49), K2tog 45 (51) sts. Work 3 rows of stocking st (1 row K, 1 row P) beginning with a purl row.

SHAPE INSTEP: When turning, take yarn under needle and onto other side of work. Slip next st onto right hand needle. Take yarn under needle and back to the original position, slip st back onto left hand needle, then turn and proceed as below.
1st row: K25 (29), K2tog tbl, turn. 
2nd row: Sl 1, P5 (7), p 2 tog, turn. 
3rd row: Sl1, K5 (7) K2 tog tbl, turn.
4th row: As 2nd row. Rep 3rd and 4th rows until 29 (35) sts rem [11 (13) sts each side of instep] 
Next row: Sl1, K17 (21)
Next row: Purl across all sts to end beg rib pattern.
1st row: K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.
2nd row: P1, * K1, P1, rep from * to end. Rep last 2 rows 3 times (8 rows of rib in all).
Next row: Purl. Work 10 rows of stocking st, beg with a knit row. Cast off loosely.

TO MAKE UP: Join foot and back seam, reversing the back seam from the
centre of the rib for the cuff. Fold the cuff onto right side.
