Needles A pair of 4.00mm knitting needles. Wool needle for sewing up. Tension 21 sts and 43 rows to 10cm over garter st, using 4.00mm needles.

Booties (make 2 - beg at sole)

Using 4.00mm needles, cast on 27 (31-35) sts. 1st, 3rd and 5th rows: (wrong side) Knit. 2nd row: [K1, M1, K12 (14-16), M1] twice, K1 … 31 (35-39) sts. 4th row: [K1, M1, K14 (16-18), M1] twice, K1 … 35 (39-43) sts. 6th row: [K1, M1, K16 (18-20), M1] twice, K1 … 39 (43-47) sts. Knit 7 (9-11) rows garter st. Shape Toe: 1st row: K16 (18-20), K2tog, K3, sl 1, K1, psso, K1, turn. 2nd row: K2tog, K3, sl 1, K1, psso, K1, turn. Rep 2nd row 4 times. 7th row: K2tog, K3, sl 1, K1, psso, knit to end of row … 25 (29-33) sts. 8th row: Knit. Beg Rib Cuff: 1st row: K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end. 2nd row: P1, * K1, P1, rep from * to end. Rep last 2 rows until rib cuff measures 6 (7-8) cm, ending with a 2nd row. Cast off loosely in rib.


Using a flat seam, join sole and back seam. Sew in all ends. Fold over cuff.
