DIFFICULTY 

 

NEEDLES:

A pair of 5.50mm knitting needles.

A 5.50mm circular knitting needle.

Wool needle for sewing in ends.

 

TENSION:

16.5 sts and 31 rows to 10cm over garter st, using 5.50mm needles.

 

SHAWL

Using a pair of 5.50mm needles and C1, cast on 2 sts.

Note: When sts no longer fit comfortably on needle switch to a circular needle but cont working backwards and forwards in rows, not rounds.

1st row: Knit.

2nd row: Knit.

3rd row: K1, M1, K1 … 3 sts.

Knit 3 rows garter st.

7th row: K2, M1, K1 … 4 sts.

Knit 3 rows garter st.

 

Beg Patt:

1st row: Using C2, K2, M1, knit to last 2 sts, K2tog.

2nd row: Knit to last 2 sts, M1, K2.

3rd row: Knit.

4th row: Knit.

Last 4 rows form patt.
