 6 x Easy Knit 12 PLY 100g balls  5.5mm knitting needles  piece of cardboard 18cm wide and crochet hook for fringe  wool needle for sewing in ends

INSTRUCTIONS

2 COLOUR TEAM- SCARF

NOTE –Prepare fringe first: wrap C1 and C2 around 18cm wide piece of cardboard 48 (60) times in each colour and cut along one edge. Set aside for attaching to scarf after completing knitting. Using 5.5mm needles and C1, cast on 23 (29) sts. Work in garter st (every row knit), until scarf measures 6 (7) cm from beginning. Break off C1. Change to C2.

NOTE – Change colours on the same side edge every time. Continue in garter st until scarf measures 12 (14) cm from beginning. Break off C2. Continue in 6 (7) cm stripes in order of C1 then C2 repeated until your scarf measures approx 150 (190) cm from beginning, ending with a complete C1 stripe. Cast off loosely.

TO MAKE UP DO NOT PRESS. Sew in ends. Using yarn set aside for fringe, fold 3 strands each of C1 and C2 in half then use crochet hook to draw loop through first stitch at end of scarf. Draw ends through loop and pull to tighten. Repeat in every 3rd stitch along both ends of scarf. Trim evenly.

Set aside for attaching to scarf after completing knitting. Using 5.5mm needles and C1, cast on 23 (29) sts. Work in garter st (every row knit), until scarf measures 6 (7) cm from beginning. Break off C1. Change to C2.

NOTE – Change colours on the same side edge every time. Continue in garter st until scarf measures 12 (14) cm from beginning. Break off C2. Change to C3. Continue in garter st until scarf measures 18 (21) cm from beginning. Break off C3. Continue in 6 (7) cm stripes in order of C1, C2 then C3 repeated until your scarf measures approx 150 (190) cm from beginning, ending with a complete C1 or C3 stripe. Cast off loosely.

TO MAKE UP Complete as for 2 Colour Team Scarf using 2 strands of each colour for fringe.

TENSION- Correct tension is not essential for this scarf.
