Gift-wrapping is a beautiful tradition but if you're concerned about the waste of paper, try Furoshiki. This simple technique involves using a beautiful piece of cloth or a scarf to wrap a gift or fashion a bag, using a couple of simple knots. Make each one the same way. Pin both layers (right side together). Sew around each edge leaving a small opening to turn the right way out. Press flat, ensuring the open section is neat and turned in, and sew a small seam around the entire border.
