Step 1: Fold sheet – approximately at 25 cm point on longest side. Fold envelope flap over the envelope opening. Cut 2 1-inch circle from orange cardstock.

Step 2: Measure width of envelope in half. Hand sew the orange cardstock and button at this point. One on the envelope flap and one on the envelope.

Step 3: Machine sew the sides of the envelope.

Step 4: Measure 4cm from the corner of the envelope inwards along the base and mark with pencil.

Step 5: Machine sew the corner – using pencil marking as a guide. Repeat on other corner.

Step 6: Trim threads and glue corner with PVA glue. Repeat on the other corner.

Step 7: Cut a 20 cm piece of twine. Place one end under the cardstock of one button. Secure envelope by forming a figure eight around both buttons. Fold corners of flap up.

Step 8: Cut corner of envelope flap using fold crease as a guide.
