Front and back (alike): Cut two pieces of front fabric, interfacing and lining each 40cm x 45c Pocket: Cut two pieces of coordinating fabric 30cm x 40cm. Handles: Cut two pieces of fabric 45cm x 6cm. Sides and base: Cut a piece of fabric 6cm x 130cm each in coordinating fabric, interfacing and lining fabric. Fold over the top of the pocket pieces twice, pin and sew down to hem. Place this at the bottom end of the front and sew down the centre to hold and around the edges leaving the top open. Press the iron on interfacing to the back of the front and back of the bag and the back of the sides and base piece. Pin and stitch the sides and base all the way around the front and back. Make the lining by sewing the sides and base around the lining pieces leaving one side of the base unstitched. Make the handles by folding the fabric in half with the right sides facing and stitching down one side. Turn this right way out and press. Place and pin the handles into position facing down wards on the front of the bag, Place the piece of cardboard inside the base and sew the bag to the lining with right sides facing, sew around the top of the bag, place the lining inside the bag and hand stitch the opening in the base of the lining closed.
