 5 x Easy Knit 12 PLY 100g balls in 2 colours  1 pair 5.5mm knitting needles or size needed to give correct tension  60cm x 60cm cushion insert  wool needle for sewing in ends

INSTRUCTIONS CUSHION COVER (MAKE 2 PIECES ALIKE) Using 5.5mm needles and M, cast on 90 sts. NOTE – We recommend leaving a 20cm length at the beginning and end of each colour stripe. One ridge in garter stitch equals two knit rows. Work 60 rows garter stitch (every row knit, 30 ridges). Using C, work 32 rows garter stitch (16 ridges). Change to M for remainder. Continue in garter stitch until Cushion Cover measures approximately 55cm from beginning. Cast off loosely. TO MAKE UP NOTE – We recommend using mattress stitch to sew up your Cushion. DO NOT PRESS. Using wool needle, join the sides first (making sure contrast stripes match), then sew cast-on edges together. Place cushion insert inside and sew cast-off edges together, enclosing cushion insert. Sew in all ends. TENSION 16 sts and 32 rows to 10cm over garter stitch, using 5.5mm needles. To work a tension square, using 5.5mm needles, cast on 24 sts. Work 48 rows garter stitch (every row knit). Cast off loosely. Check your tension carefully. If less sts to 10cm use smaller needles, if more sts use larger needles.
